Practical information for students currently abroad
Election Year
If you will be studying abroad during an election year, you may want to consider requesting an absentee ballot through your home state. In most states, you will need to request an absentee ballot a few weeks prior to the election (primary or general). Absentee voter information for registered Maryland voters can be found here.
Fulfilling Financial Obligations
If you have owned a mobile phone, opened a bank account, or made another kind of financial arrangement abroad, please make sure that you have paid all balances and closed all accounts before leaving the country at the end of your time abroad.
