Goucher’s chapter of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF) will be holding a series of events to reflect on the impact of the Iraq War from Monday, Nov. 5, to Wednesday, Nov. 7.
"Maryland Eyes Wide Open"
Monday, Nov. 5, and Tuesday, Nov. 6

Van Meter Highway
The club will hold an observance of the human costs of the Iraq War by displaying “Maryland Eyes Wide Open,” an exhibit of boots representing Maryland soldiers who have died during the war, as well as memorabilia contributed by the soldiers' families and banners of information about the economic costs of war.
“No End in Sight”
Tuesday, Nov. 6
9 p.m.
Kelley Lecture Hall
The club will screen “No End in Sight,” a documentary that chronicles the reasons behind Iraq’s descent into guerilla war, warlord rule, criminality, and anarchy.
Marxist analysis of war
Wednesday, Nov. 7
7 p.m.
Pearlstone Atrium
The Goucher Student Labor Action Committee will hold a discussion and workshop on a Marxist analysis of war.
This event is co-sponsored by the Baltimore office of the American Friends Service Committee.
