We know this because we have experienced firsthand the transformative effect a Goucher education can have—not only on those who come here to educate themselves, but also on their families, their communities, and everyone else whose lives they touch.
We have stayed tightly connected to Goucher, partly because we are grateful for the difference it made in our lives, but mostly because we are impressed with its seemingly endless capacity to transform itself. Goucher’s vision for its future grows out of its rich past, to be sure, but it also represents an important evolution of its aims. It reflects a keen awareness of the needs of the students of today at the same time that it respects the deep traditions it has developed throughout its history.
And it is exciting. We couldn’t be more enthusiastic about being a part of the historic undertaking on which Goucher has embarked, and though its goals are very ambitious, we couldn’t be more confident in its ability to attain them. As you read about them in these pages, we hope you will be, too. And we hope that you will join us in supporting Goucher College in this transformative moment in its long and distinguished life.
