My teaching interests encompass a wide range of clinical psychology courses and statistics. I encourage students to participate in the scholarly practice of raising questions and to actively seek their own answers. I enjoy teaching from an interdisciplinary perspective, and respect the power of synthesis to motivate personal growth and inspire creative thought.
I am very interested in implicit and explicit memory processes, particularly from a developmental perspective. I am also interested in mind-body interactions and how these affect cognitive functioning and behavior, human resiliency, and stress management.
As a licensed clinical psychologist, I maintain a private practice in Towson. Although my specialty areas are the treatment of anxiety disorders, trauma recovery, and the resolution of grief, I work with many young adults struggling with life transitions.
I love spending every free moment with my family and grandchildren, as well as taking long, leisurely walks with my loyal four-legged companion. Having once studied to become a classical pianist, I still enjoy “tickling the ivories” and attending concerts. Other hobbies include sailing and playing bridge.
