Live and learn in our dynamic residential community. Our campus is designed to blend living and learning, and almost all of our undergraduate students call it home. The residence halls aren't just a place to sleep and keep your stuff—you'll make friends with roommates and neighbors, host dinner parties in the common rooms, and even attend special events in our built-in classroom spaces. High-speed Internet access and telephone service is available in every room, so you'll have constant contact with your friends back home. And our three dining facilities, featuring vegetarian, Kosher, and organic options, are all just a short walk away from your room.
Many classes are held in "smart" classrooms equipped with multimedia systems for presentations, slideshows, and film screenings. Our state-of-the-art computer labs are open 24 hours a day, and so is our 300,000-volume library, which boasts one of the finest Jane Austen collections in the world. Two award-winning galleries showcase professional contemporary and student artwork, and our large dance studios are ideal for classes and rehearsals. We also have a 1,000-seat auditorium for high-profile speakers and concerts, a black-box theatre for student performances, and a coffeehouse where students meet after class.
Our sports and recreation facilities are also top-notch. We have an Olympic-sized swimming pool, racquetball courts, an outdoor track, six fields for soccer, lacrosse, hockey, and softball, eight tennis courts, a Pilates™ fitness center, and everything else you'll need to stay active—even an on-campus stable with 30 college-owned horses.
