Interview with an Admissions CounselorAn interview is a great opportunity for you to share with us what's important to you, and for us to tell you a bit more about Goucher. Our interviews are one-on-one conversations conducted by an admissions counselor, and last no more than half an hour. If your family or friends come along on your visit to Goucher, they're welcome to spend this time attending a group information session, or by making themselves comfortable in our office.
Because interviews are in great demand, they are limited to high school seniors and transfer students. In late Spring, we make interviews available to high school juniors traveling great distances. Students may only interview once, and we find the interview most helpful when you’ve already completed a bit of your college search and have a good idea of what attracts you to Goucher.
During your interview, both you and the admissions counselor will try to get a sense of how you'll fit at Goucher. The admissions counselor might choose to take some notes, as it's helpful for the admissions committee to know more about you when considering your application for admission, Therefore, we recommend that students arrange their interview prior to submitting a completed application. Please review our admissions deadlines and schedule your interview accordingly..
To schedule an interview, please call one of our receptionists at 410-337-6100 or 1-800- GOUCHER (ext. 6100). Please note: All interviews must be scheduled in advance of your visit to campus. Please complete this sheet (PDF) and bring it with you to your interview.
Understanding your senior year is probably packed, we know coming to campus for an interview isn’t always possible. If you can't make it to our campus for an interview, consider signing up for one of our off-campus interviews. If you've missed the off-campus opportunities, don't sweat it. Be sure to keep in touch and let us know if you have any questions.
