Administrative Assistant to the Vice President for Development and Alumnae/i Affairs

Goucher College seeks a full-time Administrative Assistant to report to the Vice President for Development. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: manage the vice president’s calendar; schedule, attend, and participate in selected departmental meetings; prepare and/or draft correspondence, reports, reimbursements, meeting minutes, memoranda, proposals, pledge forms, time sheets, and invoices for signature; coordinate meetings, retreats, receptions, luncheons, etc.; review the vice president’s mail and distribute as appropriate; set up and maintain vice president’s filing systems; keep accurate and timely records; prepare staff recruitment documents; interact with and support Trustee and volunteer-related projects, committees etc.; work closely with the President’s Office regarding the Board of Trustees and the Committee of Visitors.

The ideal candidate will possess superior phone skills, excellent written and oral communication ability, efficient work habits, exceptional organizational skills, and a superior attention to detail. Expertise in Word, Excel, and Microsoft Office, as well as desire to acquire new computer skills, is a necessity. Ability to act independently and confidentially, yet function as a member of a team will be considered a tremendous and necessary asset. High School diploma required, college education or established work history preferred.
