HVAC/R Technician
Goucher College is seeking a full-time HVAC/R Technician. This is a highly customer service oriented position in the Facilities Management Department. Primary responsibilities will be to repair, maintain and install industrial HVAC/R equipment such as boilers, chillers cooling towers, pumps, air handlers, exhaust fans, fume hoods, water heaters, walk-in coolers and freezers, ice machines, and pneumatic, electric and direct digital control systems. Applicant must be capable of troubleshooting malfunctioning equipment from building blueprints and system diagrams. The successful candidate will be capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma and will have completed a formal HVAC trade school program. In addition, candidates should have a minimum 5 years HVAC/R experience in an industrial setting, refrigerant recovery certificate, current MD HVAC license or Maryland 1st grade stationary engineer license with HVAC experience. A valid driver’s license which meets the requirements of Goucher College’s vehicle policy is required. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
