Using the Wimba Synchronous Classroom

What is Wimba?
Wimba is a synchronous virtual classroom that is integrated into Blackboard. Wimba allows faculty and students to build relationships by combining state-of-the-art interactive technologies such as voice, video, application sharing, polling, and whiteboarding, with traditional best practices of instruction.

How do I enter the Wimba Classroom?
Follow the instructions below to enter a Wimba Classroom:

• Log into Blackboard as you would normally do then click on the course that has a scheduled live lesson.
• In the left-hand pane, click on the Communication button. Select the Live Classrooms link.
• Click on the blue arrow to the right of the title of the classroom. NOTE: Please inform your Instructor if you do not see the classroom link.
• If you have not already done so, select Setup Wizard (NOTE: make sure you have popups enabled). If you have already run the wizard, click on the orange "click here" link below the wizard.
