Goucher’s close-knit feel, quiet setting, and family-friendliness have helped earn the college a place on Baltimore magazine’s list of the area’s best places to work.
The cover story of the magazine’s July issue features 26 top-notch places to work in Greater Baltimore that were chosen through an exhaustive survey of employers from all over the region. Companies chosen include banks, law firms, large manufacturers, financiers, utilities, grocers, and institutions of higher education. Some have fewer than 20 employees, while others have tens of thousands of workers stationed worldwide.
The employers on the list were chosen for reasons such as strong leadership, commitment to diversity, excellent benefits, attractive office space, employee development, and company culture.
Goucher, ranked as No. 17 on the list, was cited for the tuition benefits that are made available to employees, their spouses, and dependent children. Also lauded were the college’s pastoral, yet convenient location; its supportive, family-like feel; and its retirement benefits.
The issue is now on newsstands. Subscribers can also view the magazine online at http://www.baltimoremagazine.net/default.asp.
