Your bill will be due on or before August 4, 2008. If it is received after this date, a $150.00 late fee will be assessed.
3. How can I pay my bill?
We accept cash and checks as payments. Please include your student’s Goucher ID number on all checks. We also accept payments by wire. Instructions are on our web site: http://www.goucher.edu/x2132.xml
4. Can I pay my bill with my credit card?
No, Goucher does not accept credit card payments for tuition account payments. However, TuitionPay (Sallie Mae) provides a credit card processing service for Goucher College. 5. Is my student’s account number the same as his or her social security number?
No, the student’s Goucher ID number and account number are the same. This number should be included on all checks and correspondence to the college and is found at the right hand top of the statement.
6. How can I set up a monthly payment plan?
You may contact AMS TuitionPay services, Tuitionpay This a special number for parents of Goucher students to call. This number is 1-888-829-3880. Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (EST) Please note: Tuitionpay 10 month contracts for 2008-2009 Academic year begin in the month of May 2008.
7. What happens to my money if I overpay TuitionPay?
You may want to adjust your contract payment amount with TuitionPay if your December statement shows a large credit balance. You may have over-estimated your total amount due. The request for refund form is on our website with instructions.
8. What meal plan will I be charged for in the Fall?
Returning students are charged for the meal plan they selected during room drawl and new students will be charged the 190 meal block plan. Your student may change his/her meal plan through September 15th either on line , by submitting the meal plan change card or in the SAS office. Students should monitor their meal plan usage as meals and dining dollars expire at the end of each semester.
9. Do I have to pay the Health & Counseling Fee ($293) if we have our own insurance?
Yes, this is a mandatory charge for all full-time students. This fee enables the college to provide a health and counseling center on campus for all students who seek medical treatment and/or counseling.
10. What is the $175 Student Activities Fee?
This fee covers the cost of activities provided by the Student Government Association and the student clubs on campus.
11. Is it required for all full time students to have health insurance?
Yes, all full time students must be insured. You can purchase Goucher Health insurance through the broker, Hulse/QM. The Goucher health insurance information will be mailed to students in July by Hulse/QM. Each student must either select or waive the insurance. No response will result in an automatic charge on the student's account. Dancers & Athletes must also provide health insurance information to the Athletic & Dance departments. If you do not receive this information by the end of July, please call 1-800-434-3695.
12. What is the OneCard? (What are Gopher bucks?)
The OneCard is the electronic gateway to the campus. Among other things, it serves as an identification card, an electronic “key” for access to campus buildings, a debit card for on and off campus spending and a Goucher library card. Money can added to this account at any time. For details, go to www.goucher.edu/onecard or call 410-337-6299. Gopher bucks can be used to buy textbooks at the bookstore and may be used at all vending machines on campus.
13. What happens if I cannot pay my bill by August 4, 2008?
Your student will not be able to attend classes or have access to a residence hall or other college facilities unless the bill has been satisfied. Please contact the Billing Office prior to August 4th 2008 if you need to discuss billing or payment.
14. What does a ($-) negative balance on my statement represent?
A negative balance on your statement indicates a credit balance on your student account.
