LEAD (Leaders Encouraging Action and Development)

The LEAD program, first implemented in the spring semester of 2000, has been designed as a development opportunity for Goucher sophomores who will explore and ignite their own leadership throughout the spring semester.

The objectives for LEAD are as follows:

  • Foster habits of intentional and holistic self-reflection and goal-setting
  • Develop a sense of confidence and belief in self and ideas.
  • Integrate lived experiences into their leadership development process.
  • Connect to different community members across campus.
  • Explore and discover personal balance and renewal.
  • Think critically about change processes and obstacles to change.

These objectives will be achieved over the course of February and March through a series of activities.  Stay tuned for more information for LEAD 2011-2012.

Congratulations to the participants of LEAD 2010-2011: Anoosha Akhlaq, Jamal Bryant, Ishara Bullock, Gabriella Coakely, Cami Farmer, Dashell Fittry, Kathleen Flanagan, Jenna Halsey, Kate Hawley, Lindsay Jones, Sarah Muskat, Corinne Negron, and Hannah Philips.
