The Great Lawn

Between the Athenaeum and the New Residence Hall lies the Great Lawn, stretching from the residential quad down to the Loop Road. Its gradual slope gives it the character of a natural amphitheater, and we may use it as an outdoor location for Commencement and other events. When it is not being used for such programs, it is an ideal space for sunbathing, pick-up sports, and other leisurely activities.
