Circulation

Everyone is welcome to use the library and its resources but in order to check out materials, you must be one of the following:

  • Current Goucher student, faculty (including emeriti), staff
  • Goucher alumna/us
  • Friends of the Julia Rogers Library
  • Student/faculty/staff of institution belonging to the Baltimore Academic Library Consortium (BALC), McDaniel College, Washington College or Mt. St. Mary’s College

Checking out materials
All materials must be checked out at the Circulation Desk in the lobby across from the main entrance.
Patrons must present their Goucher ID cards or library-issued borrowing card. Borrowers are cautioned not to allow others to use their cards, because the owner of the card will be responsible for all transactions and fees charged to it.

Recalls
Any circulating item may be recalled for the use of another patron, or immediately for course reserves.

Non-Circulating Materials
Rare books, Goucher College archives, microforms, periodicals, and fragile books do not circulate.
Reference materials may be charged out for 1 day to faculty only.
