Goucher College Educational Technology

Technology has the potential of increasing learning experiences for all students therefore teachers need to learn how to use this powerful tool effectively. Our teachers will learn to apply and integrate technology in the content areas, they will also learn by creating and applying authentic projects that solve real educational problems. Teachers work in their own environment. Our program requires participants to share with their colleagues making mentoring an integral part of the experience. Our goal is:

  • to increase the effective use of technology as a learning tool for all participants by building virtual learning communities,
  • to provide teachers with hands-on learning experiences involving integration of technology into the curriculum design and application of theory,
  • to create a practical, experiential, problem-solving learning environment,
  • to establish communities of practice,
  • to afford teachers the possibility of working in an online environment by providing classes that are convenient.
