Summer Closing

As you prepare to depart for the semester, please read and attend to the following information carefully:

Please remember to keep your door locked at all times. With many unfamiliar faces on-campus and many valuables being moved, this is a high-risk time for theft and damage.

Closing Date

The last day for final exams is Friday, May 14th, 2010. Therefore, all non-graduating residents must check out by 10:00 p.m. on Friday, May 14, 2010.  If you have extenuating circumstances, please sign up for a Spring Semester Contract Extension, which can be found on this website under "Break Housing".

Graduating seniors may reside on–campus until 10:00 p.m. on Friday, May 21, 2010.

Quiet Hours

24-hour quiet hours begin on Thursday, May 6th, 2010 at 11:59 p.m. and will remain in effect through closing on Friday, May 14th, 2010.  We ask that you respect your neighbors’ sleep and study needs during this stressful time.

Keys

Upon departure, you may sign-in your keys between the hours of 8:45 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Office of Community Living and Multi-Cultural Affairs . If you are unable to return your keys during business hours, seal them in an envelope with your name and room number clearly marked on the outside and drop them through the drop slot in the Residence Life office door. Students assume responsibility for keys not returned and signed-in during business hours. DO NOT leave your keys under the CA’s door or with Public Safety. Also, please return only your residence hall key to the Office of Community Living and Multi-Cultural Affairs . Mailbox keys should be returned to the Post Office.

Keys not returned (including room keys borrowed from Community Living) will require a lock change. The student will be responsible for the cost of a lock change ($105). Bent or broken keys will be replaced at a cost of $15 per key.
