After 25 years in higher education administration Dr. Welch returned in spring '02 to the classroom full-time to teach analytic philosophy at Goucher. He earned a Bachelor's degree in philosophy from Brown University and a Masters and PhD in philosophy from the University of Massachusetts/Amherst. And he has taught philosophy courses in the past at UMass/Amherst and the Johns Hopkins University.
