Residents vote on several community issues, including the use of the house bathroom facilities by men and women. Residents can vote for single-sex or several co-ed bathroom options.
In houses with more than one female floor, the lowest female floor will have female-only bathrooms. These floors will not vote to decide on bathroom preference.
Co-ed floors will have co-ed bathrooms. The house may choose to regulate within this policy, but must allow both men and women to use the bathroom. On floors that vote, the decision to allow co-ed bathrooms must be completely unanimous. If one resident prefers a single-sex bathroom, the floor bathroom will remain single-sex. The vote is completed via a confidential ballot.
