The Goucher College Field Hockey Beginner Day Camp is designed for girls, ages 11 through 14, who are beginners or have never played by would like to try. This is the perfect opportunity to learn the Australian style of field hockey in an active, fun, and challenging environment.
The camp focuses on teaching fundamental skills including hitting, passing, receiving, tackling, goal scoring, and goal keeping.

The Goucher College Overnight Kookaburra Kamp is designed for girls, ages 14 through 18, with skill levels ranging from intermediate to advanced, who want to take their game to the next level.
The camp focuses on on teaching advanced skills and techniques that will provide players will a competitive edge over opponents. Emphasis will be placed on ball possession, elimination of the opponent, advanced tackling methods, and more effective goal scoring exercises. For the goalkeeper, Coach Prestwich will instruct specialized sessions and will also demonstrate his own style of goal keeping.
The Day Camp and Overnight Kookaburra Kamp are both located on the grounds of the prestigious Goucher College located on 300 acres in Towson, Maryland.

Warren Prestwich, is entering his 3rd season as head field hockey coach at Goucher College. A native of Australia, Warren has been playing field hockey since he was 6 years old and has coached for 29 years. In 4 years as goal keeping coach at William Smith College he produced 2 All-American goalkeepers. As a player, he was a member of the University of New England, Australia, team that won the Australian University National titles in 1988 and 1989.
The staff will be comprised of college coaches and players from Goucher College and other High School and collegiate programs. Certified Athletic Trainers will be on staff to provide preventative and remedial care. The coach-to-player ratio for the camp will be 1:8.
Campers will need to bring their own stick, shinguards, mouthguard, cleats and court shoes (non-black soled sneakers in case of inclement weather) and sunscreen.
