Professor Kicklighter’s research focuses on predator-prey interactions between marine organisms and the variety of strategies prey species utilize to avoid predation. She has received funding from the Smithsonian Institution and the National Science Foundation to support her research, which has been presented at conferences such as the
Ecological Society of America,
Benthic Ecology Meeting, and the
Association for Chemoreception Sciences. In addition, she has published in journals such as
Current Biology,
Ecological Monographs,
Marine Ecology Progress Series, and
Limnology and Oceanography. Her courses include Ecology and Evolution, Environmental Alternatives, Field Ecology, Tropical Marine Biology, and Marine Ecology Seminar.
