After graduating from VA Tech with a BS in Psychology and with some work towards an MBA, Wes toured North America for eleven years with Jazz/R&B song stylist Jane L. Powell, winning numerous awards from the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA, including "Entertainer Of The Year" in 1990. Since settling into the Washington, DC/Baltimore region, Wes has performed and/or recorded with various musical acts, including Higher Octave recording artists Shahin & Sepehr, Mapleshade-Wildchild recording artists Cocktail Nuts, Umayalpuram K. Sivaraman, Ron Holloway, Eva Cassidy, Squeeze Bayou, and numerous others.   

During the 1990's, Wes became increasingly interested in music education and presently teaches drumset privately and at Goucher College. Wes has published several innovative media products, including his "Drumset Play-Along DVD" and "Rhythmic Murder Mystery" CD and live show under his Music And Games 4 U label. Wes also founded and directs the Drumset and Percussion Camp, a division of the Goucher Summer Arts Institute. Additionally, Wes continues to manage and occasionally perform with Jane L. Powell and works as a music consultant and producer for Sustainable Environments for Health and Shelter, an international children's charity. Wes serves as Vice-president of the MD/DE chapter of the Percussive Arts Society and is an Associate Artist with Maryland Drum Company and with Trueline Drumsticks.
