Provident Pride of Maryland Scholarship Basketball Tournament

October 13, 2006 |

Maryland’s NCAA Division III men's basketball teams—including Goucher’s—will compete to become the state champion at the Provident Pride of Maryland Scholarship Basketball Tournament, held at venues across the state on November 21, 25, and 26.

Games between eight of the state’s nine Division III schools will take place at Frostburg State University, McDaniel College, Salisbury University, and St. Mary’s College on Nov. 21. The teams then will travel to Goucher College on November 25 and 26 to determine the top Division III basketball team in Maryland.

Besides showcasing athletic talent and developing collegiality among athletes and coaches, the Provident Pride of Maryland Scholarship Basketball Tournament aims to promote the Division III philosophy of education outside the classroom and the development of the complete student-athlete.
