For the next 42 years, 17 Beekman Street was home to Irving Berlin. A year after his death, the house was purchased by the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg for its cultural and diplomatic center in New York City.
Lavishly illustrated, Debra and her co-authors Pamela Hanlon and Marianne Matthews have written an engaging history of a New York City landmark.

MAHP program director Richard Wagner's architectural firm has won the 2010 Virginia Downtown Development Association's Merit Award for his design for a mixed use project in Middleburg, Virginia, involving both rehabilitation of listed historic buildings and new infill construction. The project fills in a gap on the town's main street, strengthening the community's historic commercial architecture.

This paper helped the city's Historic Preservation Commission create an historic preservation plan. Ralph Bray, Jefferson's City's preservation commission chairman, said, "Every certified local government needs a preservation plan."

"I learned quickly that Jefferson City was decades behind in effective preservation planning, especially in comparison to other cities statewide with the same population," said Koenig. He believes that a preservation plan "is long overdue, and we need to live up to our city slogan of 'You'll feel the history.'"

Bernd Foerster Featured in Kansas Preservation Alliance's Newsletter

The latest issue of Preservation News, the publication of the Kansas Preservation Alliance, features Bernd Foerster, FAIA on its cover, as well as his article on 30 years of preservation in Kansas.

Huddleston Launches New Company Website

Connie Huddleston (MAHP '03) has recently launched a new website for her company, Interpreting Times Past.
