Upon graduation, she joined the Pennsylvania Ballet. Following, Ms. Dolid became a member of Les Grands Ballets Canadiens and then a soloist with the Israel Ballet. Her teaching career began in Israel and upon returning to the United States she joined the faculty of the Poughkeepsie Ballet Theatre in upstate NY and taught at the Harkness Ballet in NYC. Since coming to Baltimore in 1981 and joining the faculty of Goucher College, Ms. Dolid has also been on the faculties of The Baltimore Ballet, Peabody Institute, Baltimore Actors Theater and Carver Institute of Arts and Technology. Her instruction includes all levels of ballet and pointe. She coordinated the production of the 1999 gala / Masterpieces of the Twentieth Century and was responsible for funding and producing The Carolyn Dorfman Dance Company in residence: the first company-in-residence program at Goucher College. In 1985 Ms. Dolid started developing the dance program at the Sudbrook Arts Centre and continues in that capacity today. She expanded that program in 1990 when she co-founded the Baltimore County Youth Ballet and in 1995 when she established BCYB Summer Dance at the Sudbrook Arts Centre. Presently, in addition to Goucher College and The Sudbrook Arts Centre, she is also on the faculty of UMBC and Peabody Preparatory.
