70,000 Art and Architecture Slide Images

Richard Raymond, Goucher's slide curator, has recently completed the transfer of the art and architecture slide collection into easily accessable, space saving and archival storage. This collection, located in Van Meter 227 provides on loan, high quality images required for critical study for art and art history classes. The department has found the detail and fidelity of slide viewing in a lecture hall superior to that of digital images for examining historical artworks. The Art and Art History department also encourages other humanities and science classes to utilize this valuable academic asset.
