Joan Bob began teaching viola at Goucher in 2005. She received her Master of Music Performance degree at the Peabody Institute, as a student of Karen Tuttle. She is a member of the Baltimore Chamber Orchestra, and has performed with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and other symphony orchestras in the Mid-Atlantic region. Chamber music performances include recitals at An Die Musik, Friends of Chamber Music Series, Arts in the Mansion, Music in the Great Hall, ResMusicAmerica, and Carnival in Caroline. Strongly committed to music education, Ms. Bob is a founding member of the Live Wire String Quartet, which performs in schools under the auspices of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra/ArtsExcel program as well as a Wolf Trap Teaching Artist.
