Gopher Net

Gopher Net is a network of alumnae/i, parents, and friends of Goucher who have volunteered to provide valuable career-related information to students.  These volunteers can talk with you about their career experiences and give you some perspective on the issues you may face when you're searching for a job.  To get started using Gopher Net, email the CDO.

LinkedIn
LinkedIn is a terrific resource for online, professional networking.  It provides a great opportunity to connect with professionals in various different fields and levels.  Sign up & create a profile to get started.  

Professional Associations
Links to professional associations for almost every field.

JobWeb
Professional Associations are excellent resources for career exploration and networking.  JobWeb lists professional associations in a variety of catagories.

The Riley Guide
Riley Guide is an excellent source of information on professional associations and career options as well as what training and education is needed and where to get it. 

Weddles Association Directory
Professional associations and societies often operate websites featuring job boards, resume banks or other employment-related services. These can include job agents, banner advertising and discussion forums for networking. This Directory is specially designed to help you find those association sites. It is an extensive list of associations by their primary professional and occupational focus or industry of interest, and provides a link to their website.
