The library has limited space available for group work. With a few exceptions, rooms are available on a first-come first-served basis and may not be reserved.
Group study
Japanese room (second floor). Seats about ten on comfortable furniture. Video/DVD viewing station
Kratz seminar room, 203. Kratz Center and creative writing classes meet here on a regular basis, scheduled by the registrar. May be used by groups when it is not scheduled for classes. Seats fifteen at table and chairs.
Room 027. Seats about four at table and chairs. Video/DVD viewing station
There are groupings of chairs or beanbags in various parts of the building.
Drop-in Computing
Computer Commons. (main floor, Robertson Wing). Fourteen computer stations always available for drop-in computing
Library Classroom. (main floor, Robertson Wing). Fourteen computer stations available for drop-in computer use when not scheduled for library classes
Window View stations. (main floor, Robertson Wing) Seven computer stations located at individual carrels
Digital Arts Classroom. (2nd floor, Room 209) Ten MAC stations available for drop-in computer use when not scheduled for classes
Lib105 in the CTLT. Fifteen PC stations available for drop-in computer use.
Video/DVD viewing
Video Island. Four viewing stations in room 106, may be used by individuals or pairs of viewers, headphones can be checked out at the circulation desk.

Large group
Soper Room. May be reserved for groups up to fifty. Any set up, including equipment requests, must be arranged through the Public Events office at ext. 6154 or 6289 and confirmed by Pamela Flowers. Priority in scheduling is given to Kratz Center events and library events. When not in use, this room is available as an individual or group study room.
Other spaces
Unobskey Room. Primarily reserved for part-time creative writing instructors. Their schedule will be posted each semester. Contact Pamela Flowers to reserve it at other times (ext. 6362).
Rare Book Reading Room. Special Collections, lower level. For those using special collections materials. Contact Tara Olivero to reserve.
Special Uses Room. May be reserved for use of computer with Kurzweil software for visually impaired and learning disabled patrons. Contact Susan Ezell for Kurzweil training (ext.6361).
Snack lounge (second floor). Vending machines, small tables and chairs.
