Finding aids for Goucher College Library Special Collections & Archives contains the information for manuscript material held within the college.
A finding aid is a scholarly document prepared under the supervision of the Curator of Special Collections & Archives and contains specific information about a collection including its papers and records. Finding aids describe the scope of a collection but not the exact content. A finding aid generally includes a brief biography of the subject along with a detailed inventory of the collection. A collection guide is a brochure that touches on the highlights of a particular collection for promotional or outreach purposes.
Manuscript collections which do not have finding aids may also be searched in the college library's online catalog. Select "Advanced Search" and location "Special Collections" to narrow your search.
