This exhibit was made possible through funding from the Sally Gilger Barnes '46 Archival Endowment that promotes the use of the College Archives by students and scholars and advances the historical record of Goucher College for present and future generations. Named for Sally Gilger Barnes, a 40-year College volunteer who dedicated her time to various areas of the College, most especially the College Archives, the endowment was established in 2008 through generous donations from Sally's family and friends.

In 2008, the first recipient of the Barnes Endowment, Scott Davis, class of 2010, was awarded a special collections internship to develop this exhibit that reflects the rich history of Goucher's Towson Campus and serves as an ongoing resource for the Goucher and local communities.
