  • Book Drive: Bring your new and gently-used children's books for the Baltimore Reads Book Bank and be entered in a drawing for a copy of the latest Newbery Medal-winning book. See Special Event below.  

  • Check out the latest exhibits: Journalism in America; Blue Books; Doris Humphrey; Selections from the Jane Austen Collection; Democratizing Dance.
 
  • To celebrate National Library Week, Gale is offering FREE ACCESS to a number of  valuable databases.

Presentation of the Julia Rogers Research Prizes

Honor the winners of the Julia Rogers Research Prize (see who they are) at 4pm on Thursday April 17.  Birthday cake for Julia too!

Friday, April 18
Drawing for the winner of Good Masters! Sweet Ladies!: Voices from a Medieval Village
, Newbery Medal winner written by Goucher alumna Laura Amy Schlitz.

The Newbery Medal was named for eighteenth-century British bookseller John Newbery. It is awarded annually by the Association for Library Service to Children, a division of the American Library Association, to the author of the most distinguished contribution to American literature for children.
