Kathryn Allamong Jacob '72

At a time when the influence of special interests in national politics has reached new heights, Kathryn Allamong Jacob '72 examines the life of Sam Ward and his indelible influence on lobbying in America.

Kathryn Allamong Jacob is Curator of Manuscripts at the Schlesinger Library on the History of Women in America at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Studies, Harvard University.

"Fruits of Victory:  The Woman's Land Army of America in the Great War"

Elaine Weiss will discuss her book, Fruits of Victory: The Woman's Land Army of America in the Great War. The book examines the impact of the Woman’s Land Army, which brought thousands of women "farmerettes" from the city to rural America to work on farms during World War I.

Books will be available for sale and signing.
