Edible Book Fest
Release date: February 02, 2010
Join us for Goucher's First Annual Edible Book Fest on April 1st, 2010 from 3-5 pm in the Athenaeum's Batza Room!
What is an Edible Book Fest?
Annually held at various locations around the world on April Fool's Day, the Edible Book Fest commemorates the birth of French gastronomist Brillat-Savarin who said, "Tell me what you eat, and I will tell you what you are."
Each entry must follow two rules:
1) It has to be made out of something edible;
2) It must reference books in some way either through the title, characters, book cover, etc.
For inspiration please see the photos on this page or Google "Edible Book Fest" for a multitude of ideas.
Anyone can enter and you can bring as many entries as your imagination can create! Even if you don't create anything yourself, you are welcome to come and nominate your favorite entries to win!
Visitors to the Edible Book Fest get to choose the winners of the contest in the following categories:
Most Literary, Most Culinary, Funniest and Best in Show
Winners get a magnificent certificate and bragging rights of awesomeness for a year!
To enter, please bring your edible creation to the Batza Room between 2:00 and 2:45 on April 1st.
