The Taipei National University of The Arts is a pioneer school in arts education with 39 sister schools in 15 countries and is quickly becoming recognized as one of the world's top 100 arts universities.  TNUA is located in a very urban setting, and participants in the TNUA Dance Exchange will have opportunities to see countless performances during their stay in Taiwan.  The art school is comprised of many different areas of study including visual arts, theater, and dance. Coursework is taught in English.  Students on this intensive dance program may take coursework in Indonesian dance, Chinese theatre dance, Chinese martial arts, ballet, and modern technique.  The goal of TNUA's intensive dance program is to better prepare dancers for a world of professional dance, as supported by their successful graduates who have danced for companies such as Cloud Gate and Martha Graham. The acclaimed program provides dance experiences that engage the individual in a discipline of mind/body integration, training students to acquire and synthesize intellectual and kinesthetic learning in order to create critical thinkers on and off the stage.
