Study Abroad

There's a good reason Goucher's study abroad program is ranked No. 1 by U.S. News & World Report, The Princeton Review, and others. Since 2006, every undergraduate at Goucher College studies abroad, giving them a truly global perspective—and competitive advantage in the marketplace.

At Goucher College we believe that in the global community of the 21st century, no matter who you are or what you want to do in your life, you’re going to need an international perspective.

We value the connection made between the classroom and real-world experience. We believe that by studying abroad you’ll explore different ways of thinking, communicating, working, learning, and living.

Students can go for three weeks, a semester, or year. But with close to 70 study abroad options in more than 35 countries, there are plenty of options.

Explore the cloud forests of Costa Rica. Teach in rural schools in South Africa. Intern in Paris, London or Melbourne. Practice peace building in Africa. Speak and enhance second language skills in Argentina, China, France, Germany, Russia or Jordan. The possibilities are endless.

Take a look around these pages to find out more. Visit the world section of our virtual tour. We've got a list of frequently asked questions about our requirement and a full menu of current study-abroad opportunities.

And when you're ready to start thinking about going global yourself, it's easy to contact us.
