Student Blogs

What’s it like to be a first-year student at Goucher? Which dining hall has the best food? Where are the best corners in the library when you need to hole up and study? How do you handle a difficult roommate? What is Humans vs. Zombies all about?

There are a lot of unknowns for students who are new to Goucher. Visiting campus or taking part in Orientation will help fill you in on most of the important stuff. But when it comes down to what it feels like to actually live, work, and play here at Goucher, there’s simply no substitute for experience.

That’s what “First Year, First Person” is all about. We’ve asked several students who just finished their first year at Goucher to blog about what they’ve experienced. They’ll talk about the ups and downs of their freshman year, as well as what they’re doing this summer, the courses they are taking as sophomores, and other news you can use as you prepare to begin your first year at Goucher.
