January Orientation will be held from Sunday, January 27 through Monday, January 28.  This program is designed for students beginning their Goucher experience in spring 2013. 

Residential first-year and transfer students will move in on Sunday, January 27, 2013.  Students should report to Heubeck Hall to check in between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to receive the Orientation schedule, college identification, and room keys. 

Commuter first-year and transfer students should report to Heubeck Hall to check in between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to receive the Orientation schedule and college identification. 

January Orientation will begin on January 27 with dinner at 6 p.m. and conclude by 9 p.m.  Relatives and guests who plan to attend the dinner that evening should RSVP to Kia Kuresman by noon on Friday, January 25.

Students will continue with Orientation on Monday, January 28 beginning at 9 a.m. and concluding by 5 p.m.  Students who are invited to meet with faculty for foreign language and music theory interviews should plan to attend those on Monday, January 28 at 8 a.m.

At Orientation, students will participate in various sessions pertaining to their curricular and co-curricular lives at Goucher College.  Session topics will include:

  • Student life at Goucher
  • Academic advising
  • Community living and commuter life
  • Campus resources
  • Technology
  • Getting to know other students, faculty and staff
