Summer Closing
As you prepare to depart for the semester, please read and attend to the following information carefully:
Please remember to keep your door locked at all times. With many unfamiliar faces on-campus and many valuables being moved, this is a high-risk time for theft and damage.
Closing Date
The last day for final exams is Friday May 16th, 2014. Therefore, all non-graduating residents must check out by 10:00 p.m. on Friday May 16th, 2014. If you have extenuating circumstances, please sign up for a Spring Semester Contract Extension, which can be found on this website under "Break Housing".
Graduating seniors may reside on–campus until 10:00 p.m. on Friday, May 23rd, 2014.
Quiet Hours
24-hour quiet hours begin on Friday, May 9th, 2014 at 11:59 p.m. and will remain in effect through closing on Friday May 16th, 2014. We ask that you respect your neighbors’ sleep and study needs during this stressful time.
Keys
Upon departure, you may sign-in your keys between the hours of 8:45 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Office of Community Living. If you are unable to return your keys during business hours, seal them in an envelope with your name and room number clearly marked on the outside and drop them through the drop slot in the Community Living office door. Students assume responsibility for keys not returned and signed-in during business hours. DO NOT leave your keys under the CA’s door or with Public Safety. Also, please return only your residence hall key to the Office of Community Living . Mailbox keys should be returned to the Post Office.
Keys not returned (including room keys borrowed from Community Living) will require a lock change. The student will be responsible for the cost of a lock change ($120). Bent or broken keys will be replaced at a cost of $15 per key.
