Welcome to the Room Draw 2016 web site! For now, information within these pages will be directed towards current reidential students and will need to participate in one of the many housing selection procedures in order to secure on campus housing for the 2016-2017 academic year. Note: This web site is designed for current Goucher students only. If you are an incoming student, you will be prompted to complete a different housing application after you pay your Goucher deposits.
Goucher College offers special-interest houses (wellness, language, peace, gaming) and on-campus apartments, all of which require an application. Returning residential students who are not interested in application-based housing participate in general room draw, which is conducted each April for the fall semester. Each student is randomly assigned a computer-generated lottery number to establish priority within his or her class, with the lowest number having the highest priority. To hold a room assignment through the summer, students must be registered for a full-time academic load (a minimum of 12 credits) for the upcoming fall semester, and they must have paid both room and enrollment deposits by stated deadlines, have registered for class, be free of holds on their accounts, and live on campus.
This year, we will continue to use our online housing selection software. This means you will be able to select a room from the comfort of your room on your computer, tablet, laptop or smartphone. Please review the information below to learn more about the process and how to use the software.
