About the Exhibit

The architectural drawings in The Weight of Absence came about as Fostel grieved the loss of her father. He was an architect who enjoyed exploration, especially around Baltimore City. Fostel created this body of work to serve as both a commemoration of his life and a relief from the heartbreak of his death.
