Baltimore County Recognizes Goucher Student with Award

Jessica Solomon '18 won the Education Advocate of the Year Award at the 27th annual Baltimore County Commission on Disabilities Awards ceremony.

An enthusiastic crowd cheered for the winners at the 27th annual Baltimore County Commission on Disabilities Awards ceremony. One of those winners is Goucher student, Jessica Solomon '18.

Solomon was recognized with the Education Advocate of the Year Award. She, along with 10 other award recipients, were acknowledged by the Commission on Disabilities.

“We are pleased to recognize the efforts of some remarkable people living with disabilities in our communities and the people who help them in their journey," said Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz.

Solomon, who is majoring in communications and media studies at Goucher, is also a member of the student newspaper, the Quindecim, a member of the college's marketing committee, a student ambassador, and a freelance photographer.
