Goucher Summer Arts Institute 2012

Release date: July 08, 2012

The Goucher Summer Arts Institute, held this year from July 8-21, offers pre-professional programs for serious young artists who are ages 12-18. Programs are offered in audio and multimedia production, dance, jazz studies, and drum and percussion.

The program schedules include plenty of relaxation and recreation, performances and presentations by professional artists, accommodations, activities designed specifically for boarding students — and a community of other young artists to share the experience.

The professional educators of the Goucher Summer Arts Institute aim to meet the diverse needs and aspirations of each student. Students pursue their goals in a highly challenging but supportive environment where they can explore their own creativity.

Boarding fees include room, all meals, tuition, student ticket to performances, and evening activities; the boarding fee for a double room is  $1,450, $1,5500 for a single room. Day fees of $1,050 include lunch, tuition, and student ticket to performances.

To reserve a place, students are asked to apply by June 15 and will be required to remit a non-refundable deposit of $150 at that time. The deposit is credited toward the tuition payment. To register, see https://meyerhoff.goucher.edu/summerprogs/summerarts_registration.htm.

Final payments and all balances due must be received by June 22 to secure participation in the Goucher Summer Arts Institute.
