Jayme Klinger Host '93

Professor of Dance and Head of the Dance Program at Lock Haven University (LHU). Jayme Klinger Host designed, developed, and implemented the Dance Minor at LHU.

She is also the Owner and Artistic Director of the Lewisburg Dance Conservatory in Central PA which offers classes for children 3 to 18 yrs of age. The Conservatory opened in 2007 and currently has approximately 185 students enrolled.

She previously taught at Goucher College and the Performing Arts H.S. Carver Center for Arts & Technology. Upon completion of a B.A. from Goucher College and a M.F.A. from the University of Utah, she performed professionally with such companies as the Tandy Beal Dance Company in Tokyo, Japan, and toured Australia with Salt Lake City's Performing Dance Company. As a dance educator, she is a two time grant recipient from the Maryland State Board of Education. Her choreography has been commissioned by companies such as the Rire-Woodbury Dance Company and the professional company, Momentum, of Panama. Her works have been presented at prestigious theatres such as the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., the Clarence Smith Performing Arts Center, and the National Theatre of Panama.
