FERPA

The Federal Education Rights and Privacy Act protects the privacy of student records and gives students access to their records to assure the accuracy of their contents. If you are a faculty or staff member or a student that works with student educational records, you should go through the Registrar’s FERPA on-line tutorial and take the FERPA quiz.

If someone within or outside the Goucher community asks you to disclose information from a student record, you should check the FERPA on-line guide and the College’s FERPA Policy before agreeing to provide this information. If you have any questions about responding to a request for information about a student, contact the Registrar or the Office of General Counsel.
