John T. Edge is currently columnist for Garden & Gun and Oxford American and writes frequently for the New York Times. Since 1999, he has served as founding director of the Southern Foodways Alliance at the University of Mississippi. HeEdge won the M.F.K. Fisher Distinguished Writing Award from the James Beard Foundation and most recently co-edited The Larder: Food Studies Methods from the American South.
