"The concepts I learn in class are immediately applicable in real world scenarios. I've been able to apply methods from case studies I've learned about in the workplace, as well as communication and dialogue skills in all aspects of my life."

What has stood out to you about Goucher's Cultural Sustainability program?

This would definitely be the strong support system of professors, those in my cohort as well as students in other programs. Everyone wants to see everyone do well!

What do you find unique to the program?

Everyone in the Cultural Sustainability program is like my second family. Everyone in my cohort has similar ideas and ways of thinking, although we all bring our unique perspectives to the table. It's really great to sit down and talk to people within the program and from Goucher's other programs.

How does the limited residency format support your busy schedule?

The limited residency is perfect for me, working full time and being a single mom. It allows me to get a better foothold in my community doing the work I actually want to be doing.

How has the program's coursework impacted your professional work aspirations?

The concepts I learn in class are immediately applicable in real world scenarios. I've been able to apply methods from case studies I've learned about in the workplace, as well as communication and dialogue skills in all aspects of my life.

What would share with incoming students about your experience in the program?

Residency is like a vacation mixed with a marathon for your mind. You'll make life-long friends and experience phenomenal personal growth. You'll laugh, you'll cry and you'll be better equipped to facilitate those changes which you want to see going on in the world.
