A contingent of Psychology Department students and faculty attended the Eastern Psychological Association (EPA) conference in Philadelphia from February 29th to March 2nd. There were five Goucher-affiliated research posters presented at the conference and one faculty presentation.

Dr. Amanda Draheim, Assistant Professor of Psychology, recently published an article in the Journal of Gay Lesbian Social Services entitled, "Suicidality and discriminatory experiences with healthcare providers in LGBT emerging adults".

In August 2023, Dr. Arlette Ngoubene Atioky, Assistant Professor of Psychology, attended the American Psychological Association (APA) Convention along with Goucher student Hope Kamal ('24) and recent graduate Soha Malik ('23). Their research poster, Eating, Body Image, and Wellbeing of African Female Immigrants in France, the U.K., and the U.S. (also co-authored by Aisis Plant'e ('23) and Alejandra Barry-Ruiz ('23)), was presented during the conference. Congratulations to all!

On March 2-4, 2023, a contingent of 5 faculty, 18 students, and 3 alums traveled to Boston, Massachusetts to attend and present original research at the Eastern Psychological Association (EPA) Conference. These presentations were a culmination of collaborative research conducted in the Mentored Research Team and Advanced Mentored Research Team classes.
