“I really think that the Goucher program is the best way to complete your requirements for medical school in the shortest amount of time. It’s intense, but manageable. And there is a lot of support to help you along. It’s great to take classes all together, separate from the undergraduates– there was a lot of camaraderie, and I feel like I ended the year with good friends.”

Maria worked for the United Nations General Assembly, then served in the Peace Corps in Africa as a high school English and biology teacher. When she returned to the U.S., she worked as a journalist before entering our program. Maria is currently doing her residency in internal medicine at Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital.
