If you have been considering becoming a teacher, now is the time to put your plans in motion.

With just two years in Goucher College's innovative Maryland-Approved Alternative Preparation Program (MAAPP), you can gain dual certification in special education and elementary or secondary education and be teaching in Baltimore County's or Harford County's, top school systems that value great teachers.

MAAPP students are working toward dual certification in teaching. Courses are offered online, face-to-face, or in a hybrid or blended format. Students in online courses are enrolled in a training course at the beginning of each semester. They may use all tools in the training section and are encouraged to look at the tools being used in their courses. Training for faculty and students is required for MAAPP students and faculty.
