Anne Arundel County
Goucher College is working in partnership with Anne Arundel County Schools to sponsor education cohorts!
These cohorts are 15-credits each, and will be offered at a
reduced tuition rate to current Anne Arundel County teachers.
At-Risk and Diverse Learners with a Literacy Emphasis
Geared toward helping participants better understand and guide a growing population of psychologically and sociologically disrupted students to become more productive and successful students, with focus in the areas of reading and writing. The courses in this cohort can be applied to either the M.Ed. or Professional Development Certificate. Reading Instruction (Reading Teacher and Reading Specialist)
Supports the county efforts to prepare literacy professionals who will provide leadership for the school reading program. The Reading Instruction cohort can lead to reading teacher endorsement (12 credits required) or reading specialist certification. For a complete synopsis of this cohort, click here.
Special Education Certification
Ideal for those who are currently teaching under a conditional teaching certificate or for those who wish to earn special education certification. The courses in this cohort will count towards Goucher College's MSDE-approved Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) degree with Special Education Certification (either grades 1-8 or 6-adult). School Improvement Leadership
Provides the needed knowledge, skills and coursework for participants who are working toward state certification for Administrator I. The courses in this cohort can be applied toward either the M.Ed. or Professional Development Certificate in School Improvement Leadership. For a complete synopsis of this cohort, click here.
